One of the rarest car of all time, which was not officially launched. Can you believe it?

This $13-million unique car – or so it is believed – was unveiled in the year 2017 as a custom commission for a well-heeled Rolls-Royce client, and was easily the most striking car the British marque has ever produced.

The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is a one-off large luxury car made in the United Kingdom by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. At the time of its May 2017 debut at the yearly Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event, it was the most expensive new automobile in the world, costing around $12.8 million, surpassing the Bugatti Chiron, which costs around $2.8 million.

How it all begin?

The British luxury-car and aero-engine manufacturing company said the undisclosed client -- a connoisseur of super-yachts and aircraft -- came to them sometime in 2013 to realize his vision of a unique luxury car, a two-seater coupé featuring a large panoramic glass roof.

While the rest of the world was worried about emissions and environment, airbags and vehicle safety, designers at the Rolls Royce and the gentleman kept in touch for three years to make what is the most exclusive, ostentatious and perhaps the most expensive motor vehicle ever.

Royce Based on The Rolls-Royce Phantom VII Coupe’s chassis and is inspired by the extravagant shapes of the 1930s, hence the sweeping rear that conjures up images of a vintage Rolls-Royce Boat Tail speedster.

The Sweptail gets the largest ever aluminum grille in a Rolls Royce, hand-polished to the mirror finish. The signature ornament ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ is also the largest ever. Under the hood, the Sweptail gets a giant 6.6-liter V12 engine, and despite being a two-seater coupe, spans to over 6 meters.

The elements inside – made from Macassar Ebony and Paldao veneers, the Moccasin and Dark Spice leathers of the seats, doors and the hand-stitched steering wheel, as per the gentleman’s choice.

The firm has swapped the rear seat for a wood mid-shelf that features an illuminated glass lip. Further back is the wood hat shelf, polished and inset with luggage rails and surrounded by a large teardrop-shaped glass roof.

Its interior is just as special with the finest materials forging a regal cabin. Opening the rear-hinged doors reveals cosseting leather thrones, polished metal surfaces, and a full-length glass panoramic roof. Behind the two seats is a beautifully crafted wooden shelf for luggage with integrated glass elements that illuminate at night. We’re used to Rolls-Royce concealing umbrellas within the doors of the Phantom, but this car also stows its owner's laptop within a deployable bespoke leather-wrapped carbon fiber attache case. The icing on the cake is a hand-built mechanism that reveals a bottle of champagne and two crystal flutes.

The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is beautiful in every sense, be it in the car’s design or sophisticated function. It was quite the sight when it made its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2017, just down the road from the Rolls-Royce factory.

Owner

Rolls-Royce has never named the car’s owner, nor how much he or she eventually paid for this totally bespoke project.
The identity of the car ower is never disclosed but there is an Instagram handle of the owner, where he showcases his Sweptail and other cars from his collection.
Instagram- Name :mwvmnw
            Username: TRSam

As per Wikipedia, the designer of this Sweptail is named Thomas Russini which is the full form of TR, so maybe the owner's name is Thomas Russini. But it just a guess.

However, a figure over $13 Million has been attached to the Sweptail in various circles, and if true, would have made it the most expensive car Rolls-Royce ever created.

And even if you were the richest person in the world to really have that kind of cash, sorry, Rolls Royce made just one Sweptail and the owner is partying by the Lake Como now.

THANK YOU AND HAVE A NICE DAY💗
